  • In-person or virtual

Your R U Ok? Day events may be looking a bit different in 2020, but we are here to help! Sports stars are now available to join you virtually, which means they are now more accessible than ever. Just put in your request and let us know you are going virtual!

In Australia...

One in five people are currently experiencing a mental health condition and 45% will be affected by a mental health challenge in their life. While females are more likely to experience depression and anxiety, it is estimated six men die by suicide in the country every day. Despite these numbers, 54% of affected individuals do not seek treatment.

In the workplace...

A positive mental health environment is important to 91% of employees. However, 48% of employees believe their workplace isn’t mentally healthy and nearly 50% have quit their job due to a poor mental health environment. Many will not seek help, with 35% of employees stating they would not want anyone to know about their mental health challenge.

For youth...

Suicide continues to be the leading cause of death. Over 75% of mental health conditions occur before the age of 25 and approximately 13.9% of children aged 4-17 experience a mental health illness. Stress from school is a key contributor, with 70% of Australian students rating their mental health as poor or fair in a national survey. Young people are the least likely to seek help for fear of the stigma and embarrassment.
